Meet Mrs. Green
Hi! My name is Gina Green! My husband Joe and I have been happily married now for a little over four years and have a 19 month old daughter, Charlotte. We are excited for her to become a big sister in January 2020.
I am happy to say that I am a product of the Grosse Pointe Public School System. I knew I wanted to be a teacher since elementary school and pursued that dream career at Michigan State University. I graduated from Michigan State Univeristy with my Bachelors in Elementary Education, majoring in Language Arts. In 2010 I completed a year long internship of student teaching in Detroit Public Schools in a first grade classroom. I completed my Master's Degree in Elementary Education in May 2013. This is my tenth year teaching at Mason in second grade and I am so excited to be back!
When I am not teaching...I enjoy exercising, attending Michigan State football and basketball games, and enjoying the company of my friends and family.
I am ALWAYS available to you. I really do mean that. I think it is important for you to be able to communicate with me whenever you need to so here are the four ways to get in touch with me!
1. Email: I will check both my school and personal emails on a regular basis. It is best to get in touch with me via school email during the day but if you need me over weekends or holidays my personal email will probably be quicker. Those emails are -
SCHOOL: [email protected]
2. Phone: I will check both school and cell phone frequently and answer any voicemails you leave in a timely manner. Please feel free to call whenever you have a question or concern.
SCHOOL: 313-432-4434
3. Twitter: Please follow me on twitter to see pictures and happenings of our classroom @greengina87 and use the hashtag #teamgreen19 to tweet out pictures and fun times in our classroom throughout the year.
4. Drop on by: I hope that you will feel comfortable coming into the classroom whenever you would like. I welcome you! I encourage you to schedule an appointment though so we can have the time you and your child deserves. If you would like to just see what we are doing or want to volunteer to help our room out, I welcome visitors anytime!
